By FCF Staff
After taking out Alex Hernandez at UFC Jacksonville to record his third straight win, Drew Dober’s made it clear he wants to fight the promotion’s very best lightweights.
The 31-year-old Dober faced Hernandez on Wednesday and stopped the lightweight in round two. It was Dober’s third straight stoppage victory, and his sixth win in his last seven bouts.
After the event, the noted striker was asked who he wants to fight next, and Dober said this (quote via MMA Junkie).
“I want bigger and better fights. I want to compete with the best in the world, and to do so I have to keep winning. I want to fight the Khabib (Nurmagomedovs), the Conor (McGregors), the Dustin Poiriers of the world, and I just have to keep winning so I can actually put myself in the main event and compete with those guys.”
And while discussing his latest win, Dober also said this.
“This is a huge dream of mine. I’m a huge fan and lover of the sport. Just being able to compete with the best in the world excites me. I need to go back to the drawing board. I need to improve because there’s lots of mistakes I made in the cage tonight that I have to fix.”
The Team Elevation fighter now holds an overall record of 23-9, with 1 no-contest.
