Dustin Pague vs. Yves Jabouin Added To UFC 161
By Timothy J. Gilbert
Dustin Pague will be leaving his native United States for the first time in his professional career, heading to Winnipeg, to face Canadian local Yves Jabouin in their bantamweight bout.
Jabouin (18-8) was recently let down when his UFC 158 bout against Johnny Eduardo was scrapped. Eduardo was forced out due to a shoulder injury, and no suitable replace could be found for Jabouin. He is 3-2 in the UFC, but is coming off of a first round knockout at the hands of Brad Pickett.
Pague (11-7) has struggled since joining the UFC, going 1-3 and losing his last two bouts. His one win, a submission victory against Jared Papezian, likely won’t be enough to keep Pague in the organization if another loss were to come his way
UFC 161 is set to be headlined by Renan Barao’s interim bantamweight title defense against Eddie Wineland. It all goes down on June 15 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
