Fabricio Werdum Jumps Way up in UFC’s P4P Rankings After Latest Win

Fabricio Werdum’s stock has never been higher, as following his submission win over Cain Velasquez at UFC 188, the heavyweight champ has jumped way up in the pound-for-pound rankings.
After bloodying Velasquez with strikes in Saturday’s headliner, Werdum unified the heavyweight titles with a fight ending, third round guillotine choke. In the promotion’s latest rankings, Werdum has moved up eight spots in the P4P ranks and is now #6. Velasquez, on the other hand, tumbled six positions and is sitting at #10.
Eddie Alvarez also benefited greatly from his victory Saturday, as the lightweight moved up five spots and sits at #4, after earning a split decision win over Gilbert Melendez. The latter slipped from #4 to #5.
Flyweight Henry Cejudo, who decisioned Chico Camus at the event, moved up two spots and is now ranked #5.
UFC 188 was hosted by the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.
