Fabricio Werdum’s stock has never been higher, as following his submission win over Cain Velasquez at UFC 188, the heavyweight champ has jumped way up in the pound-for-pound rankings.

After bloodying Velasquez with strikes in Saturday’s headliner, Werdum unified the heavyweight titles with a fight ending, third round guillotine choke. In the promotion’s latest rankings, Werdum has moved up eight spots in the P4P ranks and is now #6. Velasquez, on the other hand, tumbled six positions and is sitting at #10.

Eddie Alvarez also benefited greatly from his victory Saturday, as the lightweight moved up five spots and sits at #4, after earning a split decision win over Gilbert Melendez. The latter slipped from #4 to #5.

Flyweight Henry Cejudo, who decisioned Chico Camus at the event, moved up two spots and is now ranked #5.

UFC 188 was hosted by the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.
