Following Ciryl Gane’s one-sided win at UFC 265 on Saturday, it didn’t take long before heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou delivered a message to the rising star.

Gane faced Derrick Lewis in the card’s headliner, which was also a fight to award an interim championship. The undefeated Gane (10-0) proceeded to stop Lewis with strikes in round three.

After the win, Ngannou (16-3) shared out this message for his former training partner, via social media.

The Gane – Lewis fight materialized after the UFC and Ngannou could not come to an agreement, on when he should fight next. The promotion had hoped to have Ngannou fight this summer.

Following Ngannou’s championship win over Stipe Miocic in March, there was extensive speculation about him facing former light heavyweight champ, Jon Jones next.
