Georges St-Pierre Admits “Fire is Coming Back”, But Still Unsure About Returning to Octagon

Georges St. Pierre

Georges St-Pierre reported last week that he met with the UFC, and also applauded their efforts to curb PED use, but it doesn’t sound like the former champ will return to the cage any time soon.

The soon to be 34 year-old St-Pierre has been training again, following another knee surgery, and as a result, many have wondered if the welterweight might launch a comeback. In recent weeks, GSP has admitted he’s getting the “itch” to fight again, but he continues to stop short of saying he will return to the Octagon.

Well, the Canadian appeared on the latest edition of “UFC Tonight”, and relayed the following (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“It’s not interesting for me right now. I’m not sure. I just really don’t know. That’s why I didn’t say if I’m retired yet. I just don’t know. I want to sit back, relax and watch the show. More and more, I have more fun in training and the fire is coming back. But it should be a rational decision as well.”

St-Pierre hasn’t fought now since November, 2013, when he earned a split decision win over Johny Hendricks. The Tristar fighter currently holds a record of 25-2.
