GLORY 17: Melvin Manhoef to Face Filip Verlinden in Opening Round of Middleweight Tourney

GLORY has begun announcing more of the opening round match-ups for its June 21st middleweight tourney, and it has confirmed Melvin Manhoef will battle Filip Verlinden.

The bout will go down at GLORY 17: “Last Man Standing”, which will be hosted by the Forum in Inglewood, California.

Manhoef will make his GLORY debut armed with a pro kickboxing record of (47-11-0, 37 KO). Most recently the veteran stopped Evangelista Santos in an April, MMA bout

Verlinden (42-11-1, 16 KO) is coming off a decision win over Israel Adesanya at GLORY 15.

In addition to the middleweight tourney, GLORY 17 will feature Daniel Ghita taking on Rico Verhoeven for the heavyweight title.

“Last Man Standing” will be available for viewing throughout North America via pay-per-view.
