Arnhem, Netherlands – GLORY KICKBOXING, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the full card for “GLORY: Collision 3” taking place in Arnhem, The Netherlands live from GelreDome Saturday, Oct. 23. Headlining the event, the blockbuster heavyweight title fight between defending champion Rico Verhoeven and UFC superstar and K-1 Champion Alistair Overeem.

GLORY: Collision 3 is available exclusively through GLORYFights.com streaming platform starting at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time for $24.99 USD / €19.99 EURO.

Verhoeven is coming off a dominant performance at the GLORY 77 four-man heavyweight tournament last January, where he cruised past Hesdy Gerges and Tarik Khbabez to take home the tournament title. Prior to the tournament, he defended his heavyweight title against Badr Hari in December of 2019. GLORY: Collision 3 will be an unprecedented 10th straight title defense match for Verhoeven when he squares off against Overeem.

After an illustrious decade-long run in the UFC, Overeem signed with GLORY in June, returning to his kickboxing roots. He last competed in the sport in 2010, when he took home the K-1 World Grand Prix

title. Now, going up against Verhoeven, Overeem looks to reinstate his status as the best heavyweight kickboxer in the world.

Also featured on “Collision 3, top ranked contender Hamicha, who is coming off three consecutive first-round knockouts, will take on Eyevan Danenberg, who has won four of his last five matches and is coming off a first round TKO win over Yassine Ahaggan at GLORY 65.

At heavyweight, Croatia’s Antonio Plazibat, a former K-1 champion who is currently ranked 6th in the world, will take on UK’s James McSweeney, Overeem’s friend and training partner, who owns 31 knockouts and a total of 53 wins as a pro-kickboxer. Plazibat is coming off a dominant showing against Tarik Khbabez just a month ago at GLORY 78, finishing the fight by knockout in the second round. “Collision 3” will mark McSweeny’s debut appearance inside the GLORY ring.

Also in the heavyweight division, top-ranked contender Jamal Ben Saddik will take on the #2 ranked Benjamin Adegbuyi. The fight is a rematch from December of 2018, where Jamal Ben Saddik defeated Benjamin Adegbuyi in the finals of the GLORY 62 Eight-Man Heavyweight Tournament. Both men look to earn their right to challenge the winner of Verhoeven vs. Overeem for the heavyweight title.

Lastly, action in the light heavyweight division, as the #3 ranked Donegi Abena will face the #5 ranked Sergej Maslobojev. After challenging for the light heavyweight title twice in 2019, Abena looks to rebound after falling to Luis Tavares by decision in January of this year. Meanwhile, Maslobojev looks to keep his momentum going after winning his first two GLORY fights, including a first round TKO over Raul Mannaart at GLORY 75. Additionally, John King, who set the record for the fastest KO in GLORY when he knocked out Tommy Malton in 10-seconds at GLORY 72, will take on Michael Duut, a native of the Netherlands who also owns a reputation as a knockout artist.
