Not only will the March 16th, UFC 158 card feature Georges St. Pierre versus Nick Diaz and Rory MacDonald taking on Carlos Condit, but the promotion has announced that Johny Hendricks will battle Jake Ellenberger at the event.

The promotion confirmed all three welterweight bouts during tonight’s TUF 16 Finale broadcast for the card, which will be hosted by the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

Recently, UFC President Dana White relayed that the promotion was going to honor the champion St. Pierre’s request to fight Diaz next, and reports surfaced soon after that the bout was being targeted for March 16th.

After Hendricks knocked out Martin Kampmann at UFC 154 last month, in what was expected to determine the division’s number one contender, the decorated wrestler relayed his disappointment about the fact Diaz was being granted a title fight. Now Hendricks will face another of the promotion’s top welterweights in Ellenberger, who has gone 7-2 to date in the UFC.
