UFC’s Ultimate New Year’s Eve show will be airing tonight, starting at 10:00 PM ET on DirecTV pay per view.. This is a 6-hour show, highlighting some of the greatest fights from UFC 1 all the way up to UFC 34. Watch all the UFC legends, including Royce Gracie, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Mark Coleman, Tank Abbott, Frank Shamrock, and Don Frye; and today’s hottest stars, including Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Jens Pulver, Pedro Rizzo, and BJ Penn. If you don’t have DirecTV, you can still check out the final replay of UFC: Best of 2001 tonight at 10:00 pm ET on iN DEMAND pay per view. This is a 2-hour show, featuring the greatest fights of the UFC’s greatest year. These two broadcasts are two entirely different shows. From the event’s promoter: MMA National Championships are Scheduled in Iowa DAVENPORT, Iowa — Top amateur fighters from around the country will compete Saturday at the 2001 Mixed Martial Arts National Championships here at Stars & Stripes nightclub. Winners from Extreme Trials events around the nation will vie for titles in five weight divisions — 150-under, 170-under, 190-under, 210-under and heavyweight. Division champions will earn professional contracts to compete for Extreme Challenge and Super Brawl. Weigh-ins are from 10 a.m. until noon, while doors open to the public at 2 p.m. and the first fight begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, or in advance at Miller Time Billiards in Davenport.
