HyunSung Park has been tapped for a massive opportunity in just his fourth, UFC bout, as the undefeated flyweight is replacing Amir Albazi in this Saturday’s headliner.

Albazi was booked to fight fellow contender Tatsuro Taira in the main event. But, recently ,the UFC announced that Albazi has withdrawn from the contest and that Park is Taira’s new opponent. The reason for Albazi’s withdrawal was not disclosed.

Park (10-0) has gone 3 and 0 in UFC bouts since he won the Road to the UFC flyweight tournament in 2022. The 29-year-old South Korean fighter was preparing to fight Steve Erceg on August 9th.

Taira (16-1) is coming off the first loss of his career, as in October, he lost via split-decision to perennial contender, Brandon Royval. The 25-year-old Japanese fighter has gone 6 and 1 in the UFC and is currently ranked #6 in the promotion’s flyweight division.

Saturday’s card will be hosted by the Apex Center in Las Vegas.
