The expected, champion versus champion fight between Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz has finally been booked, as it’s being reported the fight will take place at UFC 259.

Recently UFC President Dana White confirmed to the promotion’s broadcasting partner ESPN that Adesanya will move up to challenge the light heavyweight champ Blachowicz on March 6th.

Blachowicz (27-8) secured the vacant title in September by stopping Dominick Reyes in round two. The 37-year-old champion has won four straight.

Adesanya (2o-0) last defended the middleweight title in September by finishing Paulo Costa in round two. The 31-year-old star has gone 9-0 in the UFC to date.

The location for UFC 259 has yet to be determined.
