The stakes in Jack Della Maddalena’s next fight have risen considerably, as recently UFC CEO Dana White announced the welterweight has been re-booked for a bout with champion, Belal Muhammad.

Maddalena was initially scheduled to fight former champ, Leon Edwards, in the main event of the UFC’s March 22nd card in London, England. But, White reported that because top contender, Shavkat Rakhmonov is injured, the UFC is moving forward with Muhammad (24-3) versus Maddalena (17-2).

The new, championship fight will headline UFC 315, which is taking place on May 10th in Montreal, Quebec.

Sean Brady (17-1) has been booked to fight Edwards (22-4) in the new headliner for the upcoming, UFC London card.
