Following accusations that Rousimar Palhares eye gouged Jake Shields at WSOF 22, the latter’s manager has posted a picture, showing the damage the fighter took during the controversial loss.

Palhares sparked outrage throughout the sport once again, after he did not immediately release the Kimura he used to submit Jake Shields on Saturday night. After the bout, Shields also accused Palhares of eye gouging, and reportedly the Nevada Commission and WSOF are reviewing the fight.

Recently, Shields’ manager, Tareq Azim, posted the picture below of Shields on Instagram.

Palhares is defending his actions at WSOF 22, and has claimed he is not a “dirty fighter”. The fighter retained the promotion’s welterweight title with the win.
