Jan Blachowicz is Planning Break, Following Pivotal Win at UFC 259

After recording yet another, massive win, it looks like Jan Blachowicz isn’t planning to fight again until late 2021.
Blachowicz successfully defended the UFC’s light heavyweight title on Saturday, by defeating middleweight champ Israel Adesanya via unanimous decision. The bout marked the first time Blachowicz (28-8) had fought, since he won the vacant belt in September, by stopping Dominick Reyes.
Following UFC 259, the 38-year-old reported he’s planning to take some time off (quotes via MMA Junkie).
“(I want a) short break – minimum half-year break,” Blachowicz said. “I want to spend some time with my family. I am a father. My child was just born and I don’t spend any time with him because I have to prepare for my fight. If he wants to wait, (Glover Teixeira) will be my next opponent.”
The 41-year-old Teixeira (32-7) is coming off a submission win over Thiago Santos in November and has won five straight.
