Vengeance at the Vanderbilt 14 Results By Loretta Hunt In front of a feverish, capacity crowd, Louis Neglia and Ray Longo’s popular Long Island fight show quickly unfolded last night in Plainview — and a solid evening of action it was. Vengeance at the Vanderbilt 14 boasted a myriad of local tri-state area talent — competitors came from as far away as Pennsylvania to get their shot in the ring. The stacked line-up included three kickboxing and five Muay Thai bouts, including one jolting female match-up. Although there were two last minute fight cancellations, three freestyle mixed martial arts exhibitions still rounded out the card — a great representation for a show that touts itself mainly as a kickboxing show. With an estimated 800 or so hungry fans attending, the "fight scene" grows leaps and bounds thanks to reputable shows like this one. Here are the results: Pro USKBA Lightweight World Championship Pro Middleweight Bout Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition Pro Muay Thai Bout Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition Muay Thai Bout Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition Muay Thai Bout NYS Muay Thai Championship Women’s Muay Thai Bout Battle of the Middleweights Muay Thai Bout Full coverage in the upcoming issue of FCF. |
