John Lineker’s Been Tapped to Fight Jimmie Rivera
By FCF Staff
Jimmie Rivera will fight at UFC 219 after all, as the promotion’s announced that John Lineker will battle the rising bantamweight at the December 30th card.
Rivera was scheduled to fight Dominick Cruz at the upcoming event, however, the latter had to withdraw due to a reported broken arm.
The New Jersey fighter has won all five of his UFC bouts to date, and in doing so, Rivera has moved his record to 21-1.
Lineker (30-8) recently had his first bout of the campaign, as the former flyweight earned a decision win over Marlon Vera last month. Lineker’s last bout before that was in December, 2016, when he lost via decision to T.J. Dillashaw and broke his jaw during the contest.
UFC 219 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
