Johnny Walker Calls Out Chris Weidman, Former Champ Responds
By FCF Staff
Recently Chris Weidman reported that he’s hoping to fight in February or March, and that’s prompted a call out from light-heavyweight contender, Johnny Walker.
Weidman, who was finished by Dominick Reyes at UFC Boston in October, recently said that he’s healthy and hoping to fight soon. That news got back to Walker evidently, as the dangerous striker proceeded to call the former middleweight champ out.
Hey @chrisweidman , that’s funny, I also want to fight in February or March! What a coincidence! What date do you prefer? Let’s dance! 💃 @danawhite@Mickmaynard2

Walker is also looking to get back on track, as he was stopped by Corey Anderson earlier this month at UFC 244.
Following Weidman’s loss to Reyes, which took place in his first bout at 205, the decorated wrestler has left the door open to a return to middleweight.
