Jon Jones Claims He’s Re-entered Drug Testing Pool, Following UFC White House Announcement
By FCF Staff
It’s only been a couple of weeks since Jon Jones confirmed he was hanging up the gloves. But, the decorated and controversial fighter is already signaling he could fight again.
Following American President Donald Trump’s announcement that the UFC is planning to hold a card on the White House grounds in 2026, Jones has posted the following statements via social media (quotes via MMA Fighting).
“Fighting at The White House?”
“Just re-entered the testing pool, that lasted for about two weeks. Figured we’d keep everyone’s options open.”
Jones (28-1), who will turn 38 on July 19th, announced his retirement last month. The announcement was not entirely unexpected, since the now former light-heavyweight and heavyweight champ repeatedly never called for a bout with Tom Aspinall, one of the most discussed, potential heavyweight match-ups in UFC history.
Following Jones’ retirement announcement, it was also reported that the polarizing fighter was facing more legal issues, stemming from an alleged vehicle incident back in February.
