UFC President Dana White has repeatedly said that Francis Ngannou is next for heavyweight champ, Stipe Miocic. But, recently Jon Jones outlined why he believes a fight between him and Miocic should be next.

Earlier this month, Jones announced that he was vacating the light heavyweight title and that is making a move to heavyweight. Since then, White has said Ngannou will challenge Miocic next, even though talk about a super fight between Jones and Miocic has spiked.

White has also said that Jones isn’t planning on fighting again, anytime soon.

But, in a recent series of tweets, Jones argued that a fight between him and Miocic, should be tabled.

Stipe doesnt want to fight Francis again because the first fight really wasnt close

Looking at it from Stipes point of view, fighting Francis again is definitely more of a lose situation than a win.

Stipe asked for a new challenge, why not fight the light heavyweight goat? Besides were way closer in size. Whats more exciting than that?

By the time he heals up my body weight should be right where it needs to be. This fight lines up perfectly

Stipe versus Francis is high risk low reward. Stipe versus myself actually makes a lot of sense for both of us. Now you actually have a super fight. Stipe loses the fight is gone
