Jon Jones Vs. Rashad Evans Official For UFC 145 In Atlanta

UFC Light Heavyweight (205 pounds) Champion Jon “Bones” Jones will defend his title against rival and former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans in the main event of UFC 145 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga. on April 21, UFC President Dana White announced today.
During UFC on FOX 2 on Jan. 28, Jones, who served as an expert panelist on the broadcast, revealed that he would be making his return to The Octagon at the event against an opponent to be determined. Following Evans’ unanimous decision victory over Phil Davis in the main event of the card, it was widely speculated that Evans would be the man selected to challenge Jones.
In addition to the main event, verbal agreements for the following matchups are in place for the Atlanta event:
Welterweight (170 pounds): Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills
Heavyweight (Max 265 pounds): Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell
Lightweight (155 pounds): Mark Bocek vs. Matt Wiman
Heavyweight (Max 265 pounds): Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs
Lightweight (155 pounds): Anthony Njokuani vs. John Makdessi
Lightweight (155 pounds): Efrain Escudero vs. Mac Danzig
Welterweight (170 pounds): Keith Wisniewski vs. Chris Clements
