Jose Aldo Signs Lengthy Contract Extension With UFC
By FCF Staff
When 2019 began, Jose Aldo reported he planned to fight out his UFC deal this year and walk away from MMA. But, it looks like the legend and former featherweight champ has changed his mind, as Aldo has reportedly signed a new contract extension.
Recently UFC President Dana White informed ESPN that Aldo has signed a contract extension with the promotion. In addition, Aldo’s manager and coach, Andre Pederneiras, told ESPN that Aldo signed an eight-fight deal with the UFC, prior to the star’s bout with Alexander Volkanovski last month.
The 32-year-old Aldo (28-5) was coming off back-to-back, stoppage wins over Jeremy Stephens and Renato “Moicano”, before losing via decision to Volkanovski.
The Brazilian star is currently ranked #3 in the UFC’s 145 division.
