Mark "The Wizard" Weir claimed the vacant Cage Rage British Middleweight Championship with a dominating performance against Sol "Zero Tolerance" Gilbert in the headline match of tonight’s card. Weir showcased his dazzling hand speed, picking off Gilbert with punches and exploiting his reach advantage. Gilbert had no answer for Weir’s sharp striking and was forced to admit defeat after the second round. In the evening’s other title fight Antonio "Big Foot" De Silva, who weighed in just over 300 pounds, overwhelmed fellow Brazilian Rafael Carino, ground and pounding his way to claim the Cage Rage World Heavyweight Title when Carino’s corner threw in the towel in just under three minutes.
Curtis "Bang ‘Em Out" Stout, who is rapidly becoming a favorite with the British fans, scored his third stunning knockout at Cage Rage, decimating Chute Boxe Academy member Nilson de Castro in just fifteen seconds. Stout dropped his opponent with one of his custom left hooks, then landed more lefts on the ground before the ref jumped in with Castro out cold on the canvas.
Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro cemented his place as one of the top Lightweights in the world quickly tapping out Eddie Bravo student and UFC veteran Gerald Strebendt with a guillotine choke in a slick performance. Results:
