Junto Nakatani continues to make the case that he is the best bantamweight boxer on the planet, as the Japanese champ took out Petch Sor Chitpattana today in Tokyo.
Nakatani (29-0) defended the WBO bantamweight title by putting Chitpattana (76-2) down with a booming left in round six. With the victory, the 26-year-old defended the WBO bantamweight crown for the second time.
Nakatani’s win came one day after Takuma Inoue (20-2) lost the WBA bantamweight title via unanimous decision to Seiya Tsutsumi (12-0-2).
The card also saw Phumelele Cafu (11-0) score a split decision, upset win over Kosei Tanaka (20-2) to claim the WBO super flyweight title. Cafu won the belt via scores of 114-113, 114-113 and 113-114.
Former kickboxing star and RIZIN fighter Tenshin Nasukawa moved his pro-boxing record to 5-0, with a unanimous decision win over Gerwin Asilo (9-1).
