Junto Nakatani Stops David Cuellar, Tenshin Nasukawa Outscores Jason Moloney

Junto Nakatani took another step towards a possible super fight with Naoya Inoue today, by recording yet another stoppage win.

Nakatani faced David Cuellar in Tokyo, Japan, and handed the Mexican boxer his first defeat by stopping him in round three. With the win, Nakatani defended the WBC bantamweight title and moved his record to 30-0. Cuellar’s record now stands at 28-1.

The card also saw former RISE kickboxing champ and RIZIN competitor Tenshin Nasukawa outscore veteran Jason Moloney for a unanimous decision win. Nasukawa has now gone 6-0 since he moved to professional boxing.

Moloney’s record is now 27-4.
