Kevin Lee Announces Plans to Fight Again, Following Retirement Last Year
By FCF Staff
It looks like Kevin Lee’s retirement is going to be a short one, as the UFC vet has announced he plans to fight again.
The 31-year-old announced he was hanging up the gloves in July, 2023, following a quick, submission loss to Rinat Fakhretdinov. But, more recently, Lee announced he misses competing and wants to fight again.
I’m coming out of retirement. I’ll fight MMA again. Idk when, where, or who yet but I’m dropping weight and getting into shape now.

Before facing Fakhretdinov, Lee (19-8) recorded a unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez in March, 2022. Lee, who fought Tony Ferguson for the UFC’s interim lightweight title in 2017 and was submitted, has gone 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.
