By FCF Staff
Following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s one sided win over Edson Barboza at UFC 219 this past weekend, the lightweight has been moved into the promotion’s top 15, pound-for-pound ranks.
Nurmagomedov worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Barboza at the event, which marked the first time the undefeated fighter had competed, since last December. Recently the UFC posted its latest rankings, which are determined by a panel of media members, and Nurmagomedov is now #14 in the P4P rankings.
Lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who hasn’t fought in the Octagon since November, 2016, was voted up to #2 in the P4P bracket. Georges St-Pierre, who won the middleweight title in November by choking out Michael Bisping, slipped from the #2 spot to #3.
Cris “Cyborg”, who defended the featherweight title by scoring a decision win over Holly Holm at UFC 219, moved up one spot to #9.
