Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Father Tells Conor McGregor “Moscow is Waiting”, While Discussing Possible Rematch With Son
By FCF Staff
Khabib Nurmagomedov has repeatedly argued Conor McGregor does not deserve a rematch. But, according to the lightweight champ’s father, a rematch could materialize if McGregor’s willing to fight in Moscow.
Nurmagomedov faced McGregor last October at UFC 229, and submitted the controversial star in round four. Since then, the former champ has called for a rematch, multiple times. Khabib’s father Abdulmanap recently spoke with ‘Zhivina100’, and according to a follow up report from RT Sports, he said this:
“If McGregor wants it, then Moscow is waiting for him.
“He said once that he has more fans here than Khabib. We want to host him in Moscow, he is welcome – we are waiting.”
Abdulmanap also reportedly said that the Russian star should fight former interim champ Tony Ferguson first, however, and that his son likely won’t fight before March, 2020.
