Recently there’s been extensive speculation about who Nate Diaz will fight next, and following his win at UFC 267, Khamzat Chimaev made it clear he’s more than willing to fight the star.

Chimaev faced Li Jingliang on Saturday, and recorded his fourth, UFC win, by choking the welterweight out in round one. While talking to the media after the bout, Chimaev (10-0) was asked about the possibility of fighting Diaz next (quote via MMA Junkie).

“Hey, Diaz, let’s go, brother,” Chimaev said. “Let’s go. You gonna get some smoke, bro. Let’s see who is the real gangster.”

Diaz (20-13) is coming off consecutive losses to welterweight contenders Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards. The Stockton fighter, who has one bout left on his current UFC deal, has signalled interest in fighting Vicente Luque and Tony Ferguson.

UFC President Dana White, however, has said the promotion has not been looking at Ferguson for Diaz’s next opponent.
