Khaos Williams Won’t Get “Comfortable”, Despite Growing Hype
By FCF Staff
Khaos Williams likely has considerably more fans following UFC Vegas 14, after recording a vicious, stoppage win. But, the welterweight promises he’s not going to get too “comfortable”, despite all the hype that’s building about him.
The 26-year-old Williams took on Abdul Razak Alhassan in the card’s co-main event, and he brutally KO’d Alhassan with a right hand just 30 seconds in. The wins was Williams’ second in the UFC, as back in February, he needed just 27 second to stop Alex Morono.
While talking to the media afterward, Williams had this to say, while discussing his jaw-dropping win (quote via MMA Junkie).
“One thing about me is I never get comfortable, you know?” Williams said . “I never get comfortable. No matter what I do, I got to keep outdoing myself. I got to continue to keep grinding. … I don’t even praise my work too long. I just keep moving forward. This moment’s happening right now, but I still got a long way to go.”
“I feel like I can knock anybody out, you know? I mean, it’s a fight. If you hit someone hard enough, they might be able to knock me out. Who knows? But at the end of the day, we’re all human beings, and like I said before, metaphorically speaking nobody is bulletproof. You hit me the hard way, I hit you the hard way, you go down.”
With the win on Saturday, Williams now carries a record of 6-1.
