After two previous bookings for a Leon EdwardsKhamzat Chimaev fight fell through due to COVID-19, it’s being reported the match-up has been scheduled again.

The two were originally booked to fight on December 19th, but Edwards had to withdraw after contracting the coronavirus. The fight was rebooked to headline the UFC’s January 20th event, but Chimaev had to pull out due to complications from COVID-19.

More recently, Dana White has confirmed to MMA Junkie that the fight will now headline the UFC’s March 13th event. A location and venue for the card have yet to be determined.

Edwards (18-3) hasn’t fought since July, 2019 when he recorded a decision win over Rafael dos Anjos. ‘Rocky’ is currently ranked #3 in the UFC’s welterweight division.

Chimaev (9-0) last competed in September and knocked out middleweight Gerald Meerschaert.
