Leon Edwards Takes Verbal Jab at Tyron Woodley, Following Comment About Fighting Colby Covington
By FCF Staff
Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodley are no longer fighting this weekend, as a result of UFC London being canceled. But, it looks like Woodley has moved his focus to a showdown with Colby Covington next, and Edwards isn’t happy about it.
Due to temporary bans on public gatherings on account of the coronavirus pandemic, recently the UFC postponed its March 21st, March 28th and April 11th events. Following the official word that no event is going to take place this Saturday, Woodley posted this comment:
“Fans I’m sorry😔! I’m shattered by this! I texted @danawhite and told him I’m in for Burns sat (Sat ONLY). I then was told the card was off. We will make it through this together. Don’t take it lightly. When we are back and running its me and Clout Chasing Covington. Don’t want to hear another name! #TalkIsOver
Thanks all my supporters.”
That prompted the following response from Edwards (warning: graphic language).
“This fight going to happen after we get back to normal programming don’t try run now kid, f*ck Covington the weasel.”
