LFA 70: Brett Martin DQ’d in Headliner, Mark Lemminger Taps Isaac Steele

Legacy Fighting Alliance’s 70th event took place Friday night in Madison, Wisconsin, and the card’s headliner ended under unfortunate circumstances.
Brett Martin was disqualified in round one of his bout with Renan Ferreira, after landing illegal strikes to the back of the latter’s head.
In the co-headliner, Mark Lemminger recorded his ninth pro win by submitting Isaac Steele with a second round, guillotine choke.

Main Event – Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final – Brett Martin (8-1, 1 NC) defeated Renan Ferreira (5-2) via disqualification (illegal strikes to the back of the head) at 3:21 in round one.
Co-Main Event – Welterweight Fight – Mark Lemminger (9-1) submitted Isaac Steele (7-2) with a guillotine choke at 3:14 in round two
Featherweight Fight – Jake Childers (7-0) knocked out Jamey Simmons (4-2) with a knee at 0:13 in round one.
Welterweight Fight – Dante Schiro (5-0) defeated Rmandel Cameron (6-5) via unanimous decision (29-27, 30-27, 30-27).
130-pound Catchweight Fight – Lloyd McKinney (14-6) submitted Gonzalo Ponce (4-3) via triangle choke at 2:43 in round one.
Light Heavyweight Fight – Alex Polizzi (4-0) finished Pierre Walters (1-1) via TKO (strikes) at 3:27 in round one.
