Lyoto Machida Fighting Ryan Bader at UFC on FOX 4
By FCF Staff
Shortly after confirming that newly signed middleweight Hector Lombard will battle Brian Stann at the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 card, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that Lyoto Machida will fight Ryan Bader at the event.
The bout was first reported by esporte.ig.com.br and then was confirmed on the official UFC Twitter account.
While the UFC hasn’t officially announced the date and venue for the UFC on FOX 4 card, the event is expected to take place August 4th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Machida (17-3) is coming off a second round, stoppage loss to reigning light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones in December, after knocking out fellow former champ Randy Couture last April.
The 33 year-old-fighter is 2-3 in his last five outings.
Bader (14-2) is coming off back-to-back wins over Jason Brilz and most recently Quinton Jackson, after dropping bouts to Jon Jones and Tito Ortiz.
The 28 year-old-light-heavyweight is 3-2 in his last five bouts with an additional win during that stretch coming over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
