Aslambek Musaev

M-1 Global has booked the first bout for the promotion’s February 21st, M-1 Challenge event, as American heavyweight Kenny Garner will battle Chechen prospect Aslambek Musaev.

M-1 Challenge 55 will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, and is being held in memory of former heavyweight champ Guram Gugenishvili, who was killed last year in a car crash.

Garner (14-8) is looking to rebound from a stoppage loss to Sergei Kharitonov in November, and has gone 2-3 in his last 5 fights.

Musaev (4-1) scored a submission win over Glin Claude in his last outing, which took place at a Opiot Challenge card in October. The only man to defeat the experienced power lifter is Brett Rogers.
