M-1 Global’s “Fedor vs. Monson” Pay-Per-View Details Announced
Just a couple of weeks before former Pride heavyweight champ Fedor Emelianenko will take on former UFC contender Jeff Monson in Moscow, Russia, M-1 Global and Integrated Sports Media have announced the details for the bout’s North American broadcast.
As expected, the November 20th, “Fedor vs. Monson” card will be available by pay-per-view via In Demand, DIRECTV, DISH Network and Avail-TVN, at a suggested retail price of $29.95.
The card will air live at 7:30 AM ET / 4:30 AM PT and some same day replays will be provided.
“I cannot wait to compete again,” Fedor was quoted saying in the press release. “Monson is a great athlete who is skilled in many areas. He is a very worthy opponent.”
“Fedor is the best heavyweight of all-time,” Monson stated. “It’s an honor to be fighting him. A win would be the highlight of my career. My trainers at American Top Team are preparing me for all possibilities.”
In addition to the headline bout between Emelianenko (31-4) and Monson (43-12), the card will also feature M-1 Challenge Lightweight Champion Jose Figueroa (10-4) vs. challenger Daniel Weichel (27-7), welterweight Aleksander Yakoviev (12-3) vs. Juan Manuel “Juanma” Suarez (8-0), welterweight Mairbek “Beckan” Taisumov (15-3) vs. Josh Thorpe (10-6), and middleweight Arthur Guseinov (9-2) vs. Xavier “Professor X” Foupa-Pokam (21-16)
