After a dismal showing against opposing “The Ultimate Fighter” coach Michael Bisping in December, Jason “Mayhem” Miller (24-8) will be given another opportunity to prove himself in The Octagon when he faces C.B. Dollaway (11-4) at UFC 146 at a venue to be announced in Las Vegas on Memorial Day weekend.

The 31-year-old Miller, a former Strikeforce middleweight championship challenger whose eccentric personality has made him one of the sport’s most marketable as well as controversial figures at times, signed with the UFC last year after Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the UFC, acquired Strikeforce. Miller had been unofficially sidelined from further action with Strikeforce after provoking an after-fight brawl with Jake Shields and his camp live on CBS following Shields’ victory over Dan Henderson on April 17, 2010.

UFC president Dana White expressed skepticism about Miller’s future with the UFC after the third round TKO loss to Bisping. Miller will looks to resurrect his winning ways that saw him ignite a 10-2 run in competition outside of the UFC between July 2005 and April 2009.

The 28-year-old Dolloway’s start will be his first in almost 10 months. A runner-up on season 7 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Dolloway is also looking to turn around recent misfortunes that have resulted in two consecutive defeats via KO to Mark Munoz and Jared Hamman.
