Mike Brown Confirms Positive Test For COVID-19, Will Not Corner Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal will not have one of the most respected coaches in the game in his corner on Saturday, as Mike Brown has confirmed he’s tested positive for COVID-19.
Masvidal agreed on short notice to face Kamaru Usman at UFC 251, after the latter’s initial opponent, Gilbert Burns, tested positive for the coronavirus.
While Masvidal passed his initial test for the virus, Brown has confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be traveling to Abu Dhabi for the event.
In a text message to MMA Junkie, the former fighter, turned coach stated.
“I’m OK, (tested) positive. I won’t be in Abu Dhabi.”
Another American Top Team coach, Gabriel de Oliveira, has also reportedly tested positive for the virus.
