More Fights Confirmed for June 18th World Championship Fighting
By FCF Staff
World Championship Fighting has confirmed several more bouts for the promotion’s upcoming, June 18th, event in Wilmington, Massachussettes. The card, which will be hosted by the Aleppo Shriners Auditorium, will see UFC vet Dan Lauzon (pictured) face Noah Weisman for the promotion’s lightweight title in the main event.
The card’s co-main event will feature Strikeforce veteran Anthony Leone (-8-4) taking on featherweight Bill Jones (9-4).
Leone will be looking to end a four fight losing streak; most recently at Bellator 44 in May he lost by unanimous decision to Jeff Lentz.
Jones is riding a three fighting winning streak. In his last outing at a Cage Titans Fighting Championship in December, Jones stopped Lee Metcalf with a first round, rear-naked-choke.
