By press release
ONE Championship™ (ONE), Asia’s largest global sports media property, today officially announced “Road to ONE: Europe,” which features 32 of Europe’s best heavyweight kickboxers competing for a contract with ONE Championship.
“Road to ONE: Europe” will host future events in Serbia, Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Germany, with additional locations to be announced at a later date. Each of the first eight events features a four-man bracket to determine who advances to the quarterfinal round.
The first national event was held in Prague, Czech Republic, on 24 April, with kickboxing legend Tomáš Hron emerging as the winner. Following the first eight events, athletes will advance through the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final round, with the ultimate tournament winner earning a contract with ONE Championship.
All fights will be broadcast live in Europe on local networks and streamed on the ONE Super App.
Carlo Di Blasi, President of ONE Championship Italy, stated: “We are pleased to announce ‘Road to ONE: Europe,’ and we are excited to soon crown a heavyweight kickboxing champion who will make it through to ONE Championship. ‘Road to ONE: Europe’ is an incredible opportunity to showcase the European fighting heritage and further expand ONE Championship’s global footprint. The tournament kicked off in Prague last April, and kickboxing legend Tomáš Hron made it through to the next round. We can’t wait to showcase even more amazing talent in the coming events.”
