Overeem and Lesnar on Weight for UFC 141, Diaz Misses On First Attempt
By FCF Staff
Both Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem made weight this afternoon in Las Vegas, Nevada, to clear the way for their highly anticipated bout tomorrow night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The former UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar came in at 266lbs, while the former Strikeforce champ Overeem weighed in at 263.
The only competitor who didn’t make weight was lightweight Nate Diaz, who tipped the scales one pound over at 157. The Stockton fighter will have one hour to shed the extra pound, however, opponent Donald Cerrone apparently told officials in attendance that he would fight Diaz at that weight. Unlike yesterday’s press conference, when Diaz knocked Cerrone’s cowboy hat off his head, there was no altercation when the two faced off.
Here are the official weigh-in results for UFC 141.
