Paulo Costa Not Happy With UFC Offer, Denies Accepting Jared Cannonier Fight
By FCF Staff
Recently it was reported that Kelvin Gastelum, and not Paulo Costa, will fight Jared Cannonier next. On account of statements Costa has made since, it looks like a contract dispute could be why.
It was reported Costa was going to fight Cannonier at the UFC’s August 21st card, until more recently, it was confirmed Gastelum is replacing the Brazilian contender.
Since news of the new match-up made the rounds, Costa tweeted out these comments.
UFC needs to pay me as main fighter to have fighting in main events.
Youtubers are showing all disgrace on this business.Just to be clear. I never signed or locked up that contract. Why ufc announced this fight if didn’t signed? My question too

The 30-year-old Costa (13-1) hasn’t competed since September, when he was stopped by middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya.
