The expectation has been that Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling were going to fight again, it was just a question of when. Now it’s being reported that the rematch has been booked.

The bantamweights fought for the first time in March, and after Sterling was hit with an illegal knee in round four, he was deemed unfit to continue. Yan (15-2) was disqualified for the foul (Sterling was down when he was hit in the head with the knee) and as a result, the bantamweight title moved to Sterling (20-3).

MMA Junkie is reporting that two sources have informed the outlet Sterling – Yan 2 will be part of UFC 267. The card is expected to take place on October 30th in Abu Dhabi.

Light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz is also scheduled to fight longtime contender, Glover Teixeira at the event.
