Report: Anderson Silva to Make Minimum of 600K at UFC 162
By FCF Staff
Anderson Silva will look to continue his historic reign as middleweight champion tonight at UFC 162, and according to initial reports, the 38 year-old star will make at least $600,000 for his fight with Chris Weidman.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has reportedly disclosed to MMA Weekly.com that Silva will make 600K to show, and an additional $200,000 if he defeats Weidman. The undefeated challenger, on the other hand, will earn $24,000 to show and 24K more if he wins.
The figures indicate that Silva has negotiated a considerable raise with his new 10 fight deal, as last July at UFC 148, he earned $200,000 for his stoppage win over Chael Sonnen.
The figures cited above do not include any pay-per-view or performance bonuses Silva collected at UFC 148 or could earn tonight.
The NSAC will release a complete list of salaries for UFC 162 next week.
