Report: Anthony Johnson Headed to Bellator For Comeback Run
By FCF Staff
Anthony Johnson has been talking about fighting again for a little while now. But, it looks like the fighter’s comeback run will not take place under the UFC banner as expected.
The 36-year-old fighter announced his retirement in 2017, following a loss to then, light-heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier. More recently, however, Johnson had said he was planning to fight again.
On Tuesday, ESPN reported that Johnson and the UFC have mutually parted ways, and that the feared slugger is expected to sign with Bellator.
Since then, Bellator President Scott Coker tweeted out this.

The report also states that Johnson (22-6) plans to fight at light heavyweight and that his next bout will take place in the first half of 2021.
