Report: Bellator 198 Averages Over 700,000 Viewers Via Two Networks

The Fedor Emelianenko vs. Frank Mir led, Bellator 198 card didn’t draw massive ratings for the promotion, but the event did perform fairly well, all things considered.
According to a new report from MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer, Saturday’s Bellator 198 avergaed 581,000 viewers on Paramount, and 169,000 viewers on CMT, for a total of 750,000. The event did have to compete, however, against boxing cards on HBO, FOX and ESPN, as well as the NBA and NHL playoffs.
The April 13th, Bellator 197 performed much worse, as the April 13th card averaged 242, 000 viewers on Paramount and 161,000 on CMT.
