Initially it was reported that Bellator 198 averaged 750,000 viewers, across two networks, but the latest data has raised those numbers.

Last Saturday’s card was headlined by a heavyweight bout between the legendary Fedor Emelianenko and former UFC champ, Frank Mir. Initial figures for the card indicated that Bellator 198 averaged 581,000 viewers on Paramount, and 169,000 viewers on CMT. The card was up against several televised boxing events, as well as the NBA and NHL playoffs.

According to a new report from MMA Mania, with DVR and West Coast replay figures accounted for, Bellator 198 averaged 838,000 viewers. The Fedor – Mir main event, however, peaked with 1.5 million viewers.

Emelianenko won the bout by stopping Mir in under one minute, and the former PRIDE champ will now face Chael Sonnen in the semifinals, of Bellator’s heavyweight grand-prix.
