Report: Bellator “Dynamite” Averages 800,000 Viewers

Although this past weekend’s “Dynamite” card included several of Bellator’s top fighters, and featured GLORY matches as well, the card did not deliver huge ratings for Spike.
The September 19th event, which saw light-heavyweight champ Liam McGeary submit former UFC star Tito Oriz, reportedly averaged 800,000 viewers. The ratings are being reported by MMA Fighting.com.
Those numbers are below the 8920,000 average that Bellator has been drawing since Scott Coker became president. In June, the heavyweight fight between Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock drew just over 2 million viewers for Bellator, and that card averaged 1.58 million.
“Dynamite” was hosted by the SAP Center in San Jose. The event also featured the promotional debut of Phil Davis, who went on to win the night’s light-heavyweight tourney.
