By FCF Staff
Brendan Allen and Marvin Vettori have reportedly been booked to fight for a second time. As it’s being reported the two will square off at the UFC’s upcoming card in New Orleans.
The middleweight contenders were originally scheduled to fight in April, 2024, but Vettori ended up withdrawing from the contest. Allen ultimately faced Chris Curtis and recorded a split decision win.
According to a new report from MMA Mania, Allen and Vettori have been booked to square off at the July 19th, UFC 318 card. MMA Junkie has also confirmed the bout with a source.
Since Allen (24-7) defeated Curtis, he’s dropped consecutive fights to Anthony Hernandez and Nassourdine Imavov. The 29-year-old is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
Vettori (19-8-1) has only competed once since 2023. This past March, he lost via unanimous decision to Roman Dolidze. The 31-year-old is 2-3 in his last 5 contests.
UFC 318 will be headlined by a lightweight fight between Dustin Poirier and BMF champ, Max Holloway.
