Following the late cancellation of a Eryk Anders – Chris Weidman fight at UFC 309 last weekend, it’s being reported that match-up is being targeted for UFC 310.

The middleweights were set to battle at the November 16th card. But, Anders ultimately withdrew late from the fight due to illness.

More recently, Newsday reported that the fight has been rebooked for the December 7th, UFC 310 card in Las Vegas. The fight will be a 195-pound catchweight contest. MMA Fighting is reporting that sources have confirmed verbal agreements are in place for the rebooking.

The 40-year-old Weidman (16-7) is coming off a TKO win over Bruno Silva in March and is 2-3 in his last 5 fights.

Anders (16-8), who is 37, recorded a unanimous decision win over Jamie Pickett in his last outing this past March. He is also 2-3 in his last 5 fights.

UFC 310 will be headlined by a flyweight fight between champion Alexandre Pantoja and former RIZIN champ, Kai Asakura.
