Report: CB Dollaway Facing Six Month Medical Suspension
By FCF Staff
CB Dollaway is facing a six month, medical suspension, following his painful looking, stoppage loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC Fight Night 58.
The middleweight contender was sent to the mat early on into the main event, after Machida blasted Dollaway to the body with a kick. Dollaway was unable to recover, and laid on the ground for some time after the bout was called.
According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, Dollaway has been issued a 180 day suspension, pending medical clearance of his ribs. The Brazilian Commission’s medical director, Dr. Marcio Tannure, however, reportedly told the outlet that Dollaway probably did not suffer any broken ribs.
The 31 year-old will have to undergo x-rays and a further examination before he can be cleared to fight.
The defeat ended Dollaway’s two fight winning streak, as the noted wrestler had KO’d Cezar Ferreira and decisioned Francis Carmont heading into UFC FN 58.
